QBench April 27, 2025 Product Release Notes

This release adds more transparency, flexibility, and control across your workflows–view all formulas in a Dynamic Worksheet, enable Project creation right from the Customer Portal, and bulk import Inventory into specific Divisions.

Are you a QBench customer with ideas for new features? We’d love to hear them. Use the "Submit Feedback" link in your user dropdown menu to submit your ideas and vote on feature requests. The requests with the most votes get considered first in our roadmap planning.

Dynamic Worksheets

  • View All Formulas in Dynamic Worksheets: View all formulas in a Dynamic Worksheet with the Show Formulas button or using the Ctl + ` keyboard shortcut. This simplifies debugging and ensures transparency when managing worksheet logic.

Unique Fields

  • Unique Fields Cleared Upon Entity Deletion: Unique Additional Field values are cleared when an entity is deleted. This prevents clashes when users enter a unique value into a field that could have already been used on an entity that has been deleted.

Customer Portal v2

  • Create Project on Order Request: When submitting an Order Request in the Customer Portal v2, portal users can now create a new Project on the fly, streamlining onboarding for new work.
  • Control Project Permissions by Portal Role: Project access in the Customer Portal v2 can now be controlled by user role, allowing organizations to tailor visibility as needed.
  • Customer Portal v2 Simple/Detailed Order View Toggle: Toggle your Order details page view between a “Simple” and a “Detailed” view in the Customer Portal v2. The Simple view limits the number of fields visible and the Detailed view shows all fields available to the portal. Simple is enabled by default.
  • Show Assay Fields on Order Details: Relevant Assay fields are now visible on the Order detail view in Customer Portal v2, improving transparency for customers reviewing their Orders. This is related to the new Simple/Detailed Order View Toggle.
  • More Test Columns in Customer Portal v2: The number of columns displayed in the Tests table on Customer Portal v2 has been expanded, giving users better access to key test data without needing to export or switch views. This is related to the new Simple/Detailed Order View Toggle.
  • Named Cell Support in Customer Portal v2 Excel Exports: Exporting Orders, Samples, and Tests data to Excel from the Customer Portal v2 shows columns for named cells in the corresponding worksheet. Only named cells that have the “Exportable” checkbox checked are exported.

Inventory Management

  • Division Support on Inventory Stock Imports: Importing new Inventory Stock from the Inventory Items landing page now supports setting Division ID, allowing the bulk creation of Stock into a particular Division from the Inventory item list page for multiple inventory items.
