QBench February 11, 2024 Product Release Notes

We’ve got our favorite kind of release queued up for you – one that’s heavy on features you asked for!

Are you a QBench customer with ideas for new features? We’d love to hear them. Use the "Submit Feedback" link in your user dropdown menu to submit your ideas and vote on feature requests. The requests with the most votes get considered in our roadmap planning.

What’s New:

Features from Customer Requests (You asked, we delivered!)

  • Automation triggers on Order Request submission. See below for more details.
  • Automation triggers on Batch Protocol Worksheet or Batch Protocol Step Status changes. See below for more details.
  • Pagination and bulk selection across pages on Multi-Order Invoices. See below for more details.
  • Track and display Report revision numbers on Reports. See below for more details.
  • Admins can add a custom field on LIMS Users. See below for more details.

Automations

  • You can now trigger an automation run once an Order Request is submitted. Automatically creating tests, updating information, or triggering workflows saves you time by eliminating manual tasks.
  • You can now set up an Automation to modify Batch data that triggers when data is modified on the Batch Protocol Worksheet or when a Batch Protocol Step Status is modified. This allows you to update values in a Batch field.

Invoices

  • When creating Multi-Order Invoices, you can now paginate through the list of orders and use the “Select all that match the criteria…” checkbox to select all Orders matching your filters. This allows you to select all the completed Tests related to a filtered list of Orders and then generate one Invoice that combines all of those Orders.

Reports

  • You can now track and display revision numbers on Reports. This allows you to generate a new version of an existing Report using the same Report Template. Displaying the revision number on that new version allows you to comply with regulatory standards that require revision numbers on revised reports.

LIMS Users

  • Admins can now add a custom field on LIMS Users. This allows you to create your own fields on the LIMS User data type. This is useful for tracking your lab’s own unique set of values on a User, such as an internal employee ID. The field is also accessible via the API.

Template Macros

  • This is a completely new feature that makes QBench more flexible and extensible. Admins can now create Template Macros, which are reusable snippets of template code that can be utilized in other templates. Macros can be used in Reports, Labels, PrintDocs, Invoices, Quotations, Payments, and Worksheets.
