QBench September 29th, 2024 Product Release Notes

You asked, and we delivered! This release is composed entirely of features requested by customers. We’ve also been working on a project to make integrations to the best 3rd-party software tools incredibly easy and lightning-quick. That should be ready for primetime soon. Get in touch if you’ve got a software system that you’d like to integrate with QBench.

Are you a QBench customer with ideas for new features? We’d love to hear them. Use the "Submit Feedback" link in your user dropdown menu to submit your ideas and vote on feature requests. The requests with the most votes get considered first in our roadmap planning.

What’s New:

Customer Requests (You asked, we delivered!)

  • Automatically Associate Sources with Customers: Automatically associate a Source with a Customer when a Source is added to a Sample. See below for more details.
  • Ability to Set Panels to Inactive & Display Improvements: Admins can now mark Panels as inactive and clearly see which Panels are inactive in the Panels list. This improves the clarity and management of Active and Inactive Panels. See below for more details.
  • Adding Panels to Bulk Order Import: Panels can now be added directly during bulk Order import, making large data imports more efficient. See below for more details.
  • Freeze Rows/Columns in Dynamic Worksheets: You can now freeze rows and columns in Dynamic Worksheets, improving navigation for large data sets. See below for more details.
  • Improved Load Time for Large Dynamic Worksheets: Optimized load times for large Dynamic Worksheets, allowing faster access to complex data sets. See below for more details.
  • Top Three Fields Displayed in Customer Portal V2 Search: Your top three fields are now displayed in the Assay search results during Order creation in the Customer Portal V2. See below for more details.
  • Select Start Cell on Plate Maps: You can now select a specific start cell in Plate Maps. See below for more details.
  • Duplicates, Triplicates, and Quadruplicates on Plate Maps: Expanded support for Plate Map replication. See below for more details.

Sources and Customers

  • Automatically Associate Sources with Customers: You can now automatically associate Sources with Customers when a Source is added to a Sample. Sources Are auto-associated with the Customer by associating the Source with the Customer related to the Order. This eliminates the need to manually associate Sources with Customers and minimizes errors. This setting can be enabled by an Admin in the General Settings.

Panels

  • Ability to Set Panels to Inactive & Panel Display Improvements: Administrators can now mark Panels as Inactive. Inactive Panels will now be visually distinct on the Panels List Page, making it easier to differentiate between Active and Inactive Panels in the Panels list. This makes Panel management easier and reduces clutter in a way that doesn’t require deleting outdated Panels.
  • Adding Panels to Bulk Order Import: Panels can now be included in bulk Order imports, saving time and reducing manual steps when processing large Orders. This allows for better data handling and faster bulk imports.

Dynamic Worksheets

  • Freeze Rows/Columns in Dynamic Worksheets: You can now freeze specific rows or columns in Dynamic Worksheets, giving you more control over large datasets. This feature enhances your ability to view and work with large data sets without losing track of critical headers or labels.
  • Faster Load Times for Large Dynamic Worksheets: We've optimized load times for large Dynamic Worksheets, reducing delays and improving efficiency when handling extensive datasets.

Customer Portal

  • Top Three Fields Displayed in Customer Portal V2 Search: Your top three fields are now displayed in the Assay search results during Order creation in the Customer Portal V2. For example, when searching for Assays by Technician or Category, you’ll see the matching Technician or Category listed under the Assay, making it easier to see which Assays match what you searched.

Plate Maps

  • Select Start Cell on Plate Maps: You can now select a specific start cell in Plate Maps, providing more flexibility and control when setting up Plate data entry.
  • Duplicates, Triplicates, and Quadruplicates on Plate Maps: Plate Maps now support the handling of duplicates, triplicates, and quadruplicates, making it easier to manage complex testing scenarios in a structured way.
