QBench July 6, 2026 Product Release Notes

From tighter control over how your Tests move through their statuses to fixes that keep your everyday data accurate, this release is all about giving your lab more confidence in its process.

• Status Workflows (Beta): Electronic signatures and rule-based, controlled status changes for your Tests. See details below.
• Saved Order Filters Respect Invoice Status: Saved Order filters with an invoice-status condition now return the right Orders. See details below.
• Time Selection in Field Set Date/Time Fields: Date/Time fields in the Fill Field Set grid now let you pick a time, not just a date. See details below.

Status Workflows (Beta)

Introducing Status Workflows, a powerful way to design and enforce exactly how your Tests move from one status to the next. Build your lab's process once and let QBench enforce it, with a complete audit trail at every step.

• Electronic signatures on status changes. Require an e-signature to move a Test between statuses, capturing the signer, timestamp, and comment in the Test's history.
• Two-person signoff. Require a second signature from a different reviewer on critical transitions, meeting separation-of-duties expectations for regulated labs.
• Control who can change statuses. Restrict each transition to specific people or teams, so only authorized users can move a Test forward.
• Required fields on status changes. Configure fields that must be completed to move a Test forward, so the right data (a reading, a reason, a result) is captured at the moment of the transition.
• Locking during a step like incubation. Lock a Test in a given status so results can't be entered early, with automatic time-based unlock. Pair it with a time-based Automation (set up in Automations) to auto-advance the status when the window opens, for example moving a Test from Incubating to Ready for Analysis after 48 hours.
