QBench November 20, 2023 Product Release Notes

Heads up! Another release coming at you. This whole release is composed of features requested by customers.

Are you a QBench customer with ideas for new features? We’d love to hear them. Use the "Submit Feedback" link in your user dropdown menu to submit your ideas and vote on feature requests. The requests with the most votes get considered in our roadmap planning.

What’s New:

Canny Features (You asked, we delivered!)

Not all these features were specifically requested in Canny, but they all did come from customer requests:

  • You can now freeze rows and columns in Spreadsheet Worksheets. See below for more details.
  • You can now hide/show invoice fields in the Customer Portal V2. See below for more details.
  • You can now set up a Batch Protocol Step Automation resolution to update all of the Batch's Samples. See below for more details.

Spreadsheet Worksheets

  • You can now freeze rows and columns in Spreadsheet Worksheets. Right-click in a cell to bring up the freeze/unfreeze menu.

Invoicing / Customer Portal V2

  • You can now hide/show invoice fields on the Customer Portal V2
. This allows you to hide internal fields from your customers as needed.

Automations

  • You can now set up a Batch Protocol Step Automation resolution to update all of the Batch's Samples. You do this by creating a Batch Object Protocol Step Automation with the resolution of 'Set Value on All Samples within the Batch.’

Bug Fixes / Quality of Life Enhancements

  • The Sample Custom ID counter now resets properly when using the incremented Sample ID config.
  • We fixed a bug in Automations where it was not executing as expected with the "entity created" trigger condition.
  • We fixed a bug where some date fields weren’t formatted correctly.
  • We fixed a bug where failed uploads to Sample Attachments were appearing in the Order Detail page’s Attachments tab.

A special treat for those of you who read all the way here: What do you call a bunch of iron atoms at a carnival? A ferrous wheel!
